Know PYP
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is an educational program designed for children aged 3-12, which fosters their growth and development as empathetic and engaged learners towards a lifelong journey of education.
It utilizes a transdisciplinary, inquiry-based curriculum framework that aims to develop conceptual understanding and places the student at the center of their learning experience.
Drawing from the expertise of 1B World Schools and the latest educational research, the PYP is a model of progressive education that is globally recognized as a leader in its field.
By addressing the challenges and opportunities of our rapidly changing world, the PYP embodies the best practices of modern education.
PYP is organized and framed by six transdisciplinary themes:
1. Who are we?
2. Where are we in place and time?
3. How do we express ourselves?
4. How the world works?
5. How do we organize ourselves?
6. Sharing the planet.
PYP Learners explore real-world problems by going beyond subject boundaries. Students have opportunities to reflect on the significance of their learning to take meaningful action in their community and the wider world.
